Translation
- In the name of the Lord God our Saviour Jesus Christ. I, Cnut, king of the English, grant to you, Bishop Ælfwig for the salvation of my soul, knowing that whatever I shall have given in the present life will benefit me in a future age, all the lands from my property and all these lands of my predecessors <given> for the augmenting of the minster of St Paul the Apostle, teacher of the gentiles, which is located in the city of London, I have confirmed with my agreement, as witnessed by my bishops and comites and principes of that land. Truly if anyone should presume to dispute the shared gift of these lands, may he live as an exile from the company of heaven. AMEN.
